Multiparameter Flow Cytometry and Compensation Our first course in Multiparameter Flow Cytometry, taught by Dr. Carleton Stewart, Director of the Flow Cytometry Lab of Roswell Park Cancer Center in Buffalo, New York, was a great success. This has evolved into an excellent introduction to moving from 2-3 colors to 8! And we have added a comprehensive section on the latest understanding and developments in compensation. This presentation is based very strongly on the work of Mario Roederer, Dave Parks, and Wayne Moore. It is taught by Dr. Jennifer Wilshire, Carol Oxford, Peter Lopez, Dorothy Lewis, and Rich Konz. It is an excellent help toward an understanding of the complexities of adding those last 6-10 colors! Multiparameter Cell Cycle and DNA Analysis and Modfit Software Courses We offer two courses in DNA analysis, a software course taught by Don Herbert of Verity Software House, the experts in DNA analysis in Flow Cytometry, and a Multiparameter Cell Cycle course, taught by Dr. Frank Traganos, with a panel of experts on dyes, software, and answering topical questions on DNA and Cell Cycle analysis. Space is extremely limited in the computer software workshops because this course is a hands-on computer training. Tuition for this course at the computer is $400. Both courses are seldom scheduled, so when you see this one scheduled near you, register as early as possible to ensure your place. Dr. Dorothy Lewis has joined us as an associate and primarily teaches our Intracellular course. Our goal is to help remove the mystique and give you fundamental help with staining, fixation and permeabilization techniques for staining all aspects of intracellular structure for analysis by flow cytometry, We have prepared for you, an excellent course covering the topics of Apoptosis. We usually offer this course in conjunction with other Advanced courses in flow. Andrew Beernink has developed this curriculum from his experience using these techniques. Consulting Courses FloCyte Training Program is often called upon to offer one on one (or two or three) training, to coach individuals who have inherited an old instrument, or moved into a new lab with an instrument that is no longer supported by the manufacturer for training. As you may know, even brand new instrument purchases offer 1-2 slots for training at the manufacturer, and if you have several individuals who need training on an instrument, we can come to you and offer training in your facility, or take you to an expert on that instrument, in their own lab, for dedicated training! Courses in Development An Advanced Data Analysis Workshop will be offered soon, concentrating on all aspects of analysis. We are also beginning development of a 2 day sorting course for those who want to become more efficient and productive sorting.
